Oh man, this game kept me up late last night and almost in a stressed out mood! I had to get my items to increase my login bonus. People on the trade board were selling some rares for cheap!
Peel-a-Meal reminded me of when you peel the Monopoly tabs from McDonalds. And who knows, maybe this was based on that?
You buy items worth so many coins and peel them. You start with drinks, ice cream, coffee, burgers, etc and try to match sets of 2, 3, or 4 items. Once you get all items in a set you increase your login bonus by a certain amount of coins.
Every 4 hours you get a certain amount of coins. With these coins you buy foods to peel. These coins expire every 4 hours so its best to buy the food right away even if you don't plan to peel it. Some people buy and peel it right away and at the beginning this is probably the simplest way to get better and higher login bonus. But as times passes and your level increases it might be beneficial to just stock up on items and peel a lot at once.
The rares are hard to find sometimes and occasionally for 24 hours there are specials - such as 23X ODDS on these boards.
Also other specials like 50% less sorryless or 50% off prices of foods. The players live for these types of deals and peel everything at that point to get a higher chance of rares and coins.
When you peel foods you can get either items to add to your boards or coins to increase your coins. These coins do not expire.
During your peeling you'll get sorry peels which is basically "sorry, try again." For the first few levels you'll notice the sorry peels are worth nothing, but again as you level up the sorry peels end up being coins. Like 1 coin, 2 coins, up to 5 coins. So the higher your level you get even a sorry peel will give you something - mix this with cheap foods, higher odds and less sorry you've got a nice little recipe.
There are a lot of other feature to the game I won't go into much detail about but you'll discover as you play more.
Such as, once you finish a board completely you can try to get that same board again, if you're able to do that you can sell back 1 full board and increase your login bonus. This can be done many times, at the moment you can sell back 50 full boards, but this may increase as it has a lot over the last few months. when I started played the board sell back limit was 5!
You can also sell back individual peels. Example you have 1000 of one specific item - you only need 50 of them to complete your full board sell backs so you can sell over 900 of these - now
there is usually a limit that you can sell back per hour - this increases if you complete offers or buy
(with real money) coins. Some people do this, but it's not necessary. I can't say I haven't spent a dollar or two on this silly game!
Last thing that i'll touch on is trading - some people that have been playing for while have lots and lots and lots of items - they sell these items for a certain number on coins on the trade forums - you can buy items this way to complete your boards if you're having trouble peeling the items you need. Some people find this easier as your just spending coins on what you need, others like to peel.
So thats about it, again with this game there is a lot more than i've mentioned and you'll have to play it for yourself.
But be careful it's addicting!
